Outbound Marketing is the traditional form of marketing where a company initiates the conversation and sends its message out to an audience and in its simplest form , is simply the process of getting in front of huge existing networks and pitching your app. Outbound Marketing examples include TV commercials, newspaper ads, flyers, email blasts, etc.
If you get your App featured in a nationwide newspaper, you may only cater to 5% of the readers, but that’s 5% of a Million Plus audience. Outbound Marketing if done correctly, can be an effective form of marketing and pay off big time. One email blast to huge a readership can pay off dividends in the long run.
Guest Blogging is a great way to build an audience. When it comes to marketing your mobile app, you can post on blogs related to your specific niche. The key strategy here is to aim for blogs whose audience would be most likely to download your app.
Guest posts should be educational, so when a reader has finished reading the post, they are ready to check out your mobile app. Ensure the end of your blog post has a call to action and your author bio. You also want make your author bio as enticing as possible by linking to your app’s page on your website, iTunes or Google Play. Also use call to action wording such as “Download our mobile app today.”

i) Make your pitch personal. Don ‘t email 50 bloggers with the same message. Tailor your message to each blog.
ii) Explain the benefits of your app, and why it’s special. Most bloggers are inundated with lots of requests. Stand out by highlighting why your app is special, and different from the thousands of other apps out there in the market. If you can, tell them you will also be able to reciprocate.
iii) Provide them with promo codes and sample text that they can use in their post. Make it as turnkey as possible
There are lots of free review sites and lots of paid sites. In essence you get what you pay for, but having your app, featured on a review site will get your app significant traffic by consumers who just LOVE apps!!
The good thing about review sites , is that they index well in search engines! Hence they will bring a ton of traffic and as a result can drive traffic to download your apps,. Again ensure that the keywords or keyword phrase name of your app is something people type into search engines. i) Have all your information ready, i.e app information, video, description, promo codes, if you have one, all ready to copied and pasted into the fields they have set up
ii) Fill out as many fields as possible, not everything is required, but accurately filling out the fields and providing enough information can make all the difference
iii) Outsource this. If you don’t have any spare time , outsource this process, by finding someone to find the sites and submit details on your app
